After weighing the amount of mixing rubber and vulcanizing agent, the next thing to do is to add a vulcanizing agent. It is recommended to complete the following steps.
1. First, clean the hygiene of the open mill to ensure its cleanliness to prevent mixing with other impurities. Then adjust the roll distance of the open mill to a minimum, put the compounded rubber into the open mill and stop the thin pass. After the thin pass is completed, the roll distance of the open mill is appropriately enlarged, so that the compounded rubber is evenly wrapped on the roll. The external temperature of the compound should be around 80oC.
2. After adjusting the roller distance and properly passing cooling water, the temperature of the compounded rubber is controlled to about 60 ~ 80 ° C. At this time, the vulcanizing agent is put into the compounded rubber at the beginning.
Need to pay attention to the vulcanizing agent in the open mill:
a. The vulcanizing agent should be evenly distributed into the compounded rubber instead of being concentrated in one center.
b. The delivery speed cannot be too fast. With a fast feeding speed, the vulcanizing agent easily falls to the bottom, and it is not easy to disperse into the mixing rubber, which will affect the performance of the mixing rubber.
c. Put the vulcanizing agent falling under the roller into the compounding rubber.
